Ishikawa is a prefecture located in the Chubu region on the island of Honshu, Japan. The area of the prefecture is 4185.67 km², the population is 1,155,996 people (July 1, 2014), the population density is 276.18 people / km². The administrative center of the prefecture is the city of Kanazawa.
