Lublin is a city that inspires
It is difficult to disagree with this advertising slogan of the capital of eastern Poland and the Lublin Voivodeship. For centuries, the city played a key role in relations between Poland and Lithuania - in 1569 the Seim in Lublin approved an act of union (union) between these states, laying the foundation for the federal state of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The Diet sat in a castle built by Casimir the Great and destroyed as a result of wars in the 17th century.
